Marc A. Bernstein, M.D., M.M.M.

Dr. Marc Bernstein is a native of Akron, Ohio. Dr. Bernstein attended medical school at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He then went on to complete his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Before starting in Rockford in 1988, Dr. Bernstein completed fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at New York Medical College.

Dr. Bernstein has specialized in vascular and interventional radiology as well as nuclear cardiology. He is board certified through American Board of Radiology.

Frank S. Bonelli, M.D., Ph.D

Dr. Bonelli has a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where he graduated with distinction in 1985.

He earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois where he studied protein/lipid interactions pertaining to cholesterol metabolism.

He completed his M.D. in 1992, graduating from the University of Illinois.
He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Dr. Bonelli completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mayo Clinic, and subsequently completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Bonelli has been a member of the medical staff of Swedish American Hospital since 1999.

He has served on numerous hospital committees, has held multiple leadership roles, and has recently completed a term as president of the medical staff.

David Kozlov, M.D.

Dr. David Kozlov is from the Chicago area and has 20 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologist with proficiency across a wide spectrum of IR procedures as well as experience with diagnostic radiology including Neuro and MSK MRI.  In addition to participating in a very busy clinical practice for the past 10 years Dr. Kozlov has held numerous leadership roles both at the facility and corporate level including facility Chairmanships and Vice Chairmanships as well as Regional Director of Radiology and was previously a research physician at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Syed Azhar Mohiuddin, M.D.

Dr. Mohiuddin is a native of Rockford, IL and completed internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Mohiuddin just recently finished an interventional radiology fellowship at University of Chicago Medical Center

Amir Sepahdari, M.D.

Dr. Amir Sepahdari earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of Illinois in 1999.  He provides a rich background in multi-modality imaging and radiology education. He is fellowship-trained in MRI and Body Imaging from Rush University and Medical Center and served as Associate Program Director for the University of Illinois Diagnostic Radiology Residency. He served as President of his corporation and Chair of the Department of Radiology at a historic teaching hospital in Chicago. Dr. Sepahdari has taught and lectured for over a decade, mentoring nearly one hundred residency graduates, and receiving the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award on multiple occasions.

Edward F. Steffen, M.D.

Dr. Edward Steffen attended medical school in Chicago, Illinois at Rush University Medical School. He had an internship at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Illinois. He moved north of Chicago to Evanston, Illinois for his residency at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Steffen then moved out of state to finish two fellowship programs one in Rochester, New York at University of Rochester with a focus on neuroradiology.
